“May Hashem fulfill Zechariah’s prophecy at this time, and grant Yuda his portion in the Holy Land, and choose Jerusalem once again … ” (from this letter)
Lengthy messianic letter, entirely handwritten by the wonder-worker, the Admo”r Rabbi Moshe Nathan Nota Lemberger, av beit din of Makowa and author of Ateret Moshe . Sent to the activist and rescuer Rabbi Yitzchak Tzvi Siemiatycki. Makowa [Makó, Hungary], 1940s.
Rare messianic letter, possibly the only one of its kind, from the renowned Hungarian Admo”r, referring to the return of the Jewish people to its Land with the agreement of the other nations, as a messianic process of the end of the exile and the beginning of the redemption of Israel: “May Hashem fulfill Zechariah’s prophecy at this time, and grant Yuda his portion in the Holy Land, and choose Jerusalem once again …”
The sacred rebbe cites the words of the Ramba”n for support – his words are known to be per Kabbalah: This is the stage of redemption of a “kiss from Esav to Ya’akov on his way to the Land of Israel” – a true kiss (according to one commentary) that will be expressed in the last generation, according to the will of the nations of the world: “To revive and elevate our home and give a place to our broken-hearted and wandering brethren.”
The wonder-worker’s blessing appears in the margins of the letter: “May the good G-d grant him success in all he does, per the prayer by … Moshe Nathan Nota of Makowa.” Letters from the Makover Rebbe are extremely rare and the few letters that we do have are only signed by him. This letter, which is extremely lengthy, is entirely handwritten and signed by him.
