This is the first edition that reveals the author’s name. With a blessing from the publisher, the Admo”r Rabbi Baruch of Gorlitz “Take this as a blessing into your homes, and you will experience length of days at your right and wealth and honor at your left.”
The first edition of this book was published anonymously in 1864. The title page states: “By one of the disciples.” The person who brought it to print was also unknown. In this second edition, there is a foreword by the son of the author, Rabbi Baruch Halberstam, av beit din of Gorlitz, on the back of the title page, where he says that he printed the first edition in 1864. In this edition, he explicitly reveals that this book was authored by his father. Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief discussion of the progression of this book.
