A document signed by the brothers Rabbi David Abarbanel and his brother Rabbi Shneur Abarbanel of Salonika [1740].
The signatures of the brothers, mentioned above, are on document side by side. Further on is the signature of the brother Rabbi Schneur alongside another signature.
The Abarbanel brothers are scions of the famous Abarbanel family who were exiled from Spain and settled in Italy. They later settled in Salonika and took much of the leadership of the community, both physically and spiritually.
These brothers are known for signing on their consent regarding guests whose intention was to settle in Salonika during this period.
