Overall size: 61×72.5 cm. Jeap Bapstite Michel (1748-1804) was a French engraver. Pietra Da Cartona was the leading baroque Italian artist of his time and one of the key figures in the development of the Roman baroque architectural style. The engraving depicts the return of Hagar – Abraham’s concubine – accompanied by an angel. Stamp of an aristocratic family, Waples of Normandy with the motto “Fari Que Sentiat”. No blemishes to the engraving. Light tears to the frame, very fine condition.
