This Megilla, like all ‘tikun sofrim’ was printed without punctuation or cantillations to assists scribes as they write the megilla. With laws relevant to scribes on the sides of the page. Approbations from Amsterdam rabbis at the beginning of the book.
Meir Berlash, was a cantor in the Ashkenazic community of Amsterdam. The poem at the beginning of the book by ‘Shlomo ben Levi Sofer’ indicates that this was the first Tikun Sofrim printed for the Scroll of Esther.
Modern binding. Mispaginated. Worming holes, lightly blemishing words. Overall fine-very fine condition.
