Pair of Torah Scroll finials. Silver – no hallmarks. Filigreed. Turkey, 19th century.
23 cm. high with a maximal diameter of 8 cm.
A six-ribbed crown tops each finial with characteristic Oriental decorations. Filigree. On top of a hexagonal shape that widens as it descends – also of filigree. With six ‘windows’, each with a small bell shaped like the Decalogue. Additional 6 bells on the base. Smooth stems, engraved: לעלוי נשמת הבחור יוסף בן שמחה.
Light crushing and bending – primarily to the crown. One finial is missing 2 bells and has a shaky crown. Moderate condition.
