Glass bottle made at the Dampffabrik Feiner Liqueure Jakob Haberfeld ( Jakob Haberfeld Fine Liqueur Distillery).
The embossed emblem of the Haberfeld family appears on the front of the bottle, and the inscription: “Jakob Haberfeld, Oświęcim.”
The factory was established in 1804 in Oświęcim (“Oshpitzin” in Jewish jargon), better known by its chilling German name, “Auschwitz.” The factory was owned by the Haberfeld family until WWII. The family was sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp at the beginning of the War.
