Issues no, 46, 49-53, October 1918, of the newspaper Der Emet [“דער אמת”] – Organ fun di Communistin Bolsheviks. This newspaper which was published in Moscow by the Central Committee of the Communist Party (in practice, by the Yevsektsiya). The newspaper was published from 1918 until February of 1919. The newspaper was recommenced in November of 1920 under its more familiar name, Der Emes [“דער עמעס”], and it was published in this format until 1938, when its writer and editor were executed by the Stalinist regime. There was great effort in Der Emes to use all the Yiddish words with Hebrew roots in a revised Soviet transcript which hid their Hebrew roots, it is interesting to see that in the earlier issues before us, they had not yet started these changes, and the name of the newspaper is still Der Emet [“דער אמת”] and the use of the מנצפך letters is normal. [6] issues, 4 pages each, 26×34 cm. Fine condition, minimal tears and blemishes, aging stains.
