A profound, comprehensive explanation of Rashi’s words on the Torah. First printed during the author’s life in 1578. This edition is a reproduction of the Lemberg edition of 1858.
The Jewish community in Shanghai was founded in 1844 by merchants. During the Second World War, tens of thousands of European refugees joined the community, including many students of the Mir Yeshiva. The expanded community necessitated a larger supply of religious books, so tens of Torah books were printed there during that period.
