Hadrat Mordechai. Debates, pilpulim, drashot, and responsa of Rabbi Mordechai of Oshmiana, the Tzaddik of Oshmiana. Vilna, 1899. First edition. VI, 202 pp, 31 cm. Rabbi Mordechai Veitzel Rosenblatt, [1836-1916], was known in Lithuania as a kabbalist and a wonder-worker, an unusual phenomenon in Lithuania. Many thronged to Oshmiana to receive his blessing, and notices were posted in the newspapers with the hours for receiving the public in his home. The sefer was published by his student, and in the introduction he describes how it came about. At the beginning of the book is the Blessing of the Righteous, the blessing of the tzaddik to the residents of Oshmiana. Simple binding, a few age stains. Very good condition.
