Hadrat Zekeinim – halachic decisions on Shulchan Aruch Hilchot Niddah … by Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch b’HaRav Shimon … halachic authority in Witefsk, with a second part called Nachalat Novea – sharp halachic novellae on several Talmudic tractates. Printed with neither date nor place of print – apparently printed in Shklov, 1802.
There is only one edition of the book known to have been printed in Dubrowna by Eliyahu ben Shmuel, his son Baruch and their associate Yosef son of Rabbi A. P. in 1802. Renowned bibliographer Yitzchak Isaac Ben-Ya’akov wrote in ה’ 246 of his library: Hadrat Zekeinim … Dubrowna, 1802 (Shklov, 1802 – dubious to me; requires investigation). This edition here was printed without a year or place of print; apparently this is the edition Ben Ya’akov was referring to.
There are differences in the two editions’ title pages. There is a foreword printed by Rabbi Yehoshua b”r Meir on page 2b. He was the author’s grandson, who published this book. In the more familiar edition, his brothers also signed on the foreword, yet in this edition, only Rabbi Meir has signed. The censor’s permit is also not found in this edition.
