Unique features: The title page of the work and leaf 18a bear the signature of Rabbi Refael Yosef Shalom son of Abdalla son of Moshe Chaim [Rabbi of Bahgdad], cousin of the Ben Ish Chai who was both erudite in Torah and very wealthy. He immigrated to Jerusalem with his father in 1841. In 1854, he was appointed chief clerk of the Kollels in Hebron. He was at the center of a large controversy between the Jerusalem and Hebron Kollels and the rabbis of Hebron printed the Eidut B’Yehosef in his defense, refer to Ben Yaakov, Yehudei Bavel B’Eretz Yisrael, p. 24-27.
