The Beit Ya’akov movement is a movement of Charedi girls’ schools, the largest in the world. Beit Ya’akov was established in 1918 in Krakow by Sarah Schenirer and was developed by her students in Europe and later in the United States and Israel. As of 2020, there are more than 40,000 Beit Ya’akov students in Israel, 5300 staff members and approximately 1700 kindergartens, after-school programs and daycare centers.
