Copy of the fifth (abbreviated) edition of Handbuch der Israelitischen Geschichte by Emanuel Hecht, special edition in which there is a blank leaf bound between each printed leaf with the notes of the editor and adapter including glosses and comments for a future edition of the book that was never printed. (These comments and supplements have actually never been printed to this day.)
The book Historiah Yehudit MiYemei Chatimat HaTana”ch V’Ad LYameinu was first published in 1855. From the third edition forward, it changed a lot, so that most of the book was based on the editor and adapter Rabbi Meir Keizerling, who was a rabbi and darshan in Pest.
176 printed pages, and approximately the same number of “blank”pages loaded with glosses and comments in German script.
Moderate-fine condition, detached leaves. Dismantled binding.
