* Avodat HaLevi by Rabbi Aharon son of Moshe HaLevi – Bereishit Shmot Vayikrah and haftaras, Lemberg 1842, first edition, copy with lack. Rabbi Aharon HaLevi Horowitz, (or Aharon of Staroszele, born c. 1766, passed away in 1829), seventh generation descendant of the holy Shl”a, among the greatest of the Elder Admor’s chassidim. After the Elder Admor’s passing, Rabbi Aharon established his own court in Staroszele, and began conducting himself as an Admor. While he served as Admor, he wrote explanations of the chassidic teachings, characterized by their simple, clear style, mainly on the Tanya . He authored: Shaarei HaYichud V’HaEmunah, Sha’arei HaAvodah, Haggadah shel Pesach im Peirush Sod Kedoshim m’et Baal HaTanya V’R’ Aharon, Shaar HaTefilla.
