Sefer Imrei Shefer – Kabbalah about songwriting, by Rabbi Avshalom Mizrachi, published by Rabbi Elyakim Karmoli. On the title page: “Paris” but actually Rödelheim, c. 1861. Rare first edition. Leaves 34 and 37 bear handwritten glosses, apparently by the publisher.
Later on in the volume is Chikekei Even , with its own special title page – a list of tombstones and the songs written on them for rabbis and prominent personalities. These include: Rabbi Hai Gaon, the Ri”f, Rabbi Yehudah HaLevi, the Ramba”m, Mahara”m MiRottenburg and others.
Several years later, the scholar A. Neuberger published a new edition of the book, with changes.
