Letter with a request for help for the Darchei Teshuvah yeshivah in Munkacs from the Admo”r Rabbi Baruch Rabinowitz of Munkacs. Av/August, 1939.
The Admo”r and rosh yeshivah appeals to the heads of the Rabbinical Association of the United States, with a request for help for the yeshivah in Munkacs.
He writes at length about the virtues of the yeshivah founded by the author of Minchat Elazar of Munkacs, and its fine products. He adds that due to the yeshivah’s good name, they had not been required to solicit funds from afar, but due to the character of the times, he is requesting assistance.
As is known, the yeshivah’s founder, the Admo”r, the author of Minchat Elazar of Munkacs was a vigorous zealot, and here his son-in-law and successor turns to the Rabbinical Association, an organization that identifies with Agudat Yisrael, which was abhorred by his great father-in-law.
