Needed to conclude study of “Seder Moed” and connect it to the beginning of “Seder Kdoshim” so the Talmud study group could apply what was learned in one text to the other.
Rabbi Zvi Hirsch HaCohen Valk was the author of “Keter Kehuna, ” a student of the author of “Beit HaLevi” in the time of Slutzk, the son in law of Rabbi Mordechai Gimpel Yaffe and the brother in law of Rabbi Yosef Zecharia Stern. He served in the rabbinates of Papalan Kapule, Grozd, Kosovo, and Palachek and after the death of the Gr”a Horowitz, he replaced him as rabbi of the great city of Pinsk until his death at the age of only 58 (1907).
