The Hebrew section includes the primary passages of the prayers for the weekdays, Shabbat, holidays and high holidays along with Psalms to be recited during battle, prayers for the sick and dead etc. With French instructions. The French section features French translation of the prayers and a Jewish-secular calendar for [1916-1917].
The prayer book was printed at the height of the First World War, during the difficult battles against the German army. Original, blue cardboard binding with gilt embossing (light tear). Very fine condition.
