Album of etchings on the subject of the Land of Israel, signed by the artist. Frankfurt, 1903?
Before us is a portfolio including 25 etchings by the renowned artist, printed in the form of a large album, in Frankfurt, apparently in 1903, with the title page in German listing the etchings. There were 100 numbered copies printed, before us is copy number 90. Each etching is in a passe-partout and signed by the artist.
Struck undertook an extensive trip to the Land of Israel in 1903 on a mission from Theodor Herzl, after which he met with him and sketched Herzl’s famous portrait. The 25 etchings before us portray landscapes of the Land of Israel.
[25] etchings. Passe-partout size: 42 cm. Original cardboard binding with dismantled fabric spine. The etchings are in very fine condition. Slight breaks in the passe-partout.
