Poster published by the German regime in Vilna at the beginning of WWI with instructions for the city’s citizens to transfer all their military equipment (primarily metals, weapons, etc.) in their possession to the German army warehouses. The poster was written in 4 languages (Yiddish, German, Polish and Lithuanian). In return, the Lithuanians received payment according to the prices listed in the poster. For example, for each kilogram of copper, they received one mark. Citizens who did not obey instructions should expect, according to the poster, punishment of up to 2 years incarceration, a 5,000 mark fine or both together. [1] leaf, 58×86 cm.
