Ledger with halachic novellae and copies from various works. Manuscript of the Ibn Danan family. North Africa, c. 1900
44 leaves. 22×17 cm.
The ledger includes a copy of “Seder Malchei Yisrael MeiHarav HaGadol …Saadya Ibn Danan” (printed in Kovetz Teshuvot HaRambam, Leipzig, 1852), it ends with the note נאם המעתיק מזרע הרב הגאון הי”ו, משה אבן דנאן הי”ו בלא”א מו”ר כמוהר”ר שלמה הי”ו אבי” (leaves 8a-9a). This copier also signed on leaf 28b, and was apparently the copier of most of the laws in the anthology, including the laws of blessings (16a-17b), laws of Shabbat (18a-b) and more. Includes the signatures of שאול דנאן (9a, 10a). Leaves 35a and 38a features סימני שנת תר”ס לפ”ק, and it seems that the ledger was copied around that time.
Disintegrating cardboard binding covered with brown paper. Aging stains. Tears without loss.
