Letter from Admor Avraham Elimelech Perlow of Karlin. [1925]
[1] leaf, in his hand and with his signature.
Admor Avraham Elimelech Perlow of Karlin [1892-1942] was the son of Rabbi Yisrael ‘the Yanuka’ of Karlin. He served as Admor from [1921], after the death of his father in Frankfurt, and was the most popular Admor from amongst his brothers. He visited Eretz Yisrael a number of times. During his last visit, in 1939, on the eve of the Second World War, his followers attempted to prevent his return to Europe, but he refused and set sail on the last ship to leave Palestine. He was killed in the Holocaust along with his children.
Very fine condition, other than filing holes.
