The letter is addressed to the Rabbi of Hamburg, Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Spitzer (1872-1934), who was head of the hospital committee in his city. The first page is full of praise and thanks to the addressee. Discusses the appointment of a local Jew to take care of the committee’s affairs. It mentions Rabbi Meir Hildesheimer and Prof. Mittwoch. Letterhead with Hebrew and German titles, including a blueprint of the building.Rabbi Yisrael Moshe Rosenthal (1857-1940) was the son of R’ Zvi Dov, who immigrated to Eretz Yisrael upon the advice of the Chidushei Hari”m. He studied under the Maharil Diskin and became a melamed.
