Rabbi David Borenstein (1876-1943) was the son of the “Shem MiShmuel.” He served as rabbi in Wyszogród, Poland, and, from 1926, as Admor of Sochatchov, Poland. During the Holocaust, he helped fortify the residents of the Warsaw ghetto, and died there of a heart attack. Some of his Torah was printed in Chasdei David and Neot Desh”a. His letters are rare.
