577 doubled plates of the manuscript, each facsimile is pasted on both sides of the leaf.The Munich Manuscript is the oldest complete manuscript of the Babylonian Talmud. Over the generations many people tried to see the manuscript. The Chida writes that he merited to see it, but because of difficulties wasn’t able to enjoy it very much. However, he did copy some variant texts from it.
This is a unique facsimile by Hermann Strack. Impressive.
Due to its great size and weight, it has been rebound in five volumes, in half-leather bindings. Very fine condition.
