Especially rare: Letter containing sharp rebuke from the gaon Rabbi Yedidyah HaLevi Segal, av beit din of Sienna, to the members of the Vercelli community, where he was previously rabbi, regarding their not listening to da’at Torah and rebellion against the city rabbis. Sienna, 1781.
The topic of the letter is the controversy that developed in the community about the time for Kabbalat Shabbat . (Note that it may be necessary to add the letter ו’ in the word ושמר’ in the year detail, which would result in the year 1787).
