* Letter dated Rosh Chodesh Iyar [1961]. The first section is written by Rabbi Hillel Wind, son-in-law of Rabbi Pinchas Epstein. He announces the engagement of his son, Rabbi Eliyahu Shmuel. In the second section, Rabbi Pinchas Epstein writes and signs a request that the rabbi donate and fundraise for the great mitzvah of marrying off a bride and groom. In the third section, Rabbi Pinchas adds a novellae on a question on leaf 72 of Tracate Pesachim. 18×28 cm. Air mail letter.
* Signed autograph, dated 14 Tishrei 1961. He notifies the addressee that he davened for him on Yom Kippur and gives him many blessings. After his signature, he adds words of Torah and mussar regarding prayer. 18×28 cm. Air mail letter.
Rabbi Pinchas Epstein immigrated to Eretz Yisrael at the age of 18, and was a moreh tzedek in the beit din of the Eidah HaCharedis, headed by Rabbi Sonnenfeld and Rabbi Diskin. He studied in the Torat Chaim Yeshivah. in 1948, he was appointed rav”d of the Eidah HaCharedis, until his death in 1969. He authored Orin Talitai [1913], Mincha Chariva [1923] and Minchat Yerushalayim, section one, [Jerusalem, 2000]. Many of his manuscripts were burned in the Old City during the War of Independence.
