Placard appealing to the public not to shave with a razor, with halachic quotes from the Shulchan Aruch, the Rambam and Chafetz Chaim regarding this severe prohibition. It additionally features illustrations of a leopard, eagle, deer and lion with the matching text: “Hevy az kanemer…”. The emblem of the Merkaz appears at top, with the Hebrew text on the left: “Our nation is not a nation without its Torah”. The ephemera collection of the National Library has only one placard issued by the Merkaz L’Hasbarat Hatorah [regarding distancing oneself from theaters and entertainment]. This placard regarding the prohibition of shaving with a razor is rare and not in the National library. The placard is within a wood and glass frame, fold marks. Fine condition.
