Large engraving of the kaddish with kabalisitc illustrations of the “Ma’ase Merkava”, animals and angelic names, along with calligraphy aleph-beit letters. Made by Abram Krol in memory of his parents and siblings who were killed in the Holocaust. Signed and numbered. c. 1960s. Etching center the world of “shma israel”, around four animals from “mahase merkava” and Jewish figures in prayer, around a large circle with the names of angels, and names of the heavens. Down Version devoted his stead Jewish prayer shawl and phylacteries motel closet and written: “We remember the whole rest of my father and my mother Carole and brother farewell Yenta Jacob Gad killed in the holy name of the odious by the German murderers”. Abram Krol (1919-2001) was an artist born in Pabianice, near Lodz, Poland. He survived the Holocaust by adopting a false identity in France. His chassidic childhood influenced him to integrate Biblical elements, aleph-beit letters and prayers. This engraving, like other of his works, was dedicated to his family that was killed in the Holocaust. Aging stains. Moderate-fine condition.
