The letter before us is one of the first written by the Admo”r, just a few months after he ascended to the Land of Israel, after sitting in prison in Siberia. It discusses founding the Bikkur Cholim society. The Admo”r blesses with abundance: “Happy is he who opens his hand to influence much abundance. May the Divine Presence rest upon the handiwork of those involved … and those who participate … From he who awaits the redemption, Yehoshua Heschel, son of the famous Rabbi Yosef …”
