Front: A portrait picture of Napoleon and the words “Napoleon Emp. Et Roii” [Napoleon – Emporer and King]. Back: Napoleon holding the Tablets of the Covenant which had just been given to him by Moshe (who is bowing down before him, with horns on his head). At the bottom are the words ” “Grand Sanhedrin XXX Mai MDCCCVI”. Napoleon summoned the gathering of the dignitaries of the Jewish community on May 30, 1806.
