Responsa by Rabbi Yonah Landsofer, Prague 1756. First edition.
A number of drawings and sketches appear among the book’s leaves, and a geometric compilation from Euclid’s works appears in the final pages. Woodcut illustration on the title page. The book was published anonymously, but with the approbation of the Prague rabbis headed by the Noda B’Yehudah, the author’s name was publicized with many accolades. On the page after the title page, the author writes that his in-law, Rabbi Yehonatan Eibeshutz, sent his approbation for the book, but due to the war [the Seven-Year War], the approbation was lost, and the printers are rushing him so they can complete the printing.
