The author, Rabbi Yehudah Aryeh of Modena [1571-1648], was a prominent Italian sage, poet and preacher. He was so popular that even the Christian population came to hear him speak and he debated with Christians. He was rabbi of Venice, Ferrara, Florence and then Venice again.
Condition: Fine. Aging stains. Tears in the title page and following leaf, with slight blemish to the letters. Simple binding.
