Unique features: Rare, with the approbations of the Rabbis of Germany and Amsterdam.Signature of the noted printer of Offenbach on the title page, Zvi Hirsh Segal Spitz, author of Divrei Chachamim V’Chidotam (Offenbach 1802). He founded his press in 1777, and operated it with his son for more than forty years. Prominent works were printed there, including Hafla’a, Machane Levi, Yad Dovid and more [Refer to: A. Yaari, Diglei HaMadpisim HaIvriim, p. 173].The back binding bears a pasted handwritten prayer, for a husband to recite for his pregnant wife “so that she should give birth easily like a hen.”
Condition: Very good, other than the binding which is in disrepair and does not have a spine.
