In the fourth section the leaves 170-197 are missing, and the first leaf of the indices. Around 28 cm. An early edition unusually well proofed, of the Rambam’s Mishne Torah, first edition of Rabbi Yosef Karo’s Kesef Mishne. Rabbi Yosef Karo sent his manuscript to Venice and appointed Rabbi Menachem Azariah of Fano to be responsible for the printing. Rabbi Yosef Karo passed away during this time. ‘Rav Yosef Karo’ is written in the introductions to the first sections and in the introduction to the last section זצ”ל zatz”l, is added. On the last page is printed a conclusion by Rabbi Chizkiah of Fano in which he announces the passing of Rabbi Karo on the 13th of Nissan, 1575. Very old signatures of the authors. Old half-leather binding, age stains. Sections 1 and 2 in very good condition, section 3 has two small tears on the title page with no damage to the text. Good- very good condition. Section 4 has some damage to the title and first page, partially restored. Missing pages. Some pages detached. Moderate-good condition.
