Mishneh Torah by Rabbi Moshe son of Maimon, the book of Taharot from the middle of the laws of Para Adumah chapter 6 and the books of Kinyan-Shoftim.
Specifications: 194 leaves, paper. 20×30.5 cm. Yemenite handwriting. A small amount of the end of the book of Shoftim is missing, from the laws of Malachim, chapter 11. With commentaries and comments in the margins in a range of scripts.
Background: The copyist’s colophon from the 19th of Av, 1648, is at the end of the book of Nezikin (page 90a). A poem in the honor of [Ploni] which opens “My heart is excited seeking an oval and pleasant person” is on page 90b, in different writing.
Condition: Moderate-fine. Aging stains, minimal worming holes. Slight damage to text on the first and last leaves. 3 leaves are detached. New parchment binding.
