Chassidut on the order of the Torah portions and the festivals, by Rabbi Zeev Wolf of Zhitomir. [1] 1-147, 1-48. 22 cm. Stefansky Chassidut 27.
Important book of chassidut authored by Rabbi Zeev Wolf of Zhitomir, who was the Maggid of Mezeritch’s disciple. With approbations by Rabbi Mordechai son of Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz and Rabbi Yisrael Dov of Stepen, given in 1815 for this edition. As is well-known, there are also “forged” editions of this work; before us is among the edition which was indeed printed in Koritz in 1815, and not a copy thereof. Rephael Zilberman [1839-1919] was chief rabbi of the Ashkenazim in Safed. Aside from his greatness in Torah, he was also renowned for his sanctity and wisdom. Stamps from his grandson and successor Rabbi Avraham Leib Zilberman.
