Pair of finials for a Torah Scroll. Silver repoussé, casted. India, 19th century. 26 cm. high, 7 cm. diameter. Each finial is built on a rounded base and stands on a cylindrical pipe made of delicate repoussé work with floral decorations across the entire surface of the tower. Twelve small rings carry chains that end with eye-shaped bells. Turret at the top of each tower with a ‘chamsa’ palm and primitive engraving on both its sides קדש לה’. Delicate, breathtaking hammer work by an artisan covers the surface of the finials. Refer to a similar item in the catalogue “50 Rimonim”, Tel Aviv University, p. 12. Very fine condition. It is rare to find this type of finial in such complete condition. Museum piece.
