Pair of miniature silver finials for a Sefer Torah. Iraq, end of the 19th- beginning of the 20th century. Height 15 cm. Maximum diameter 5 cm. Made in the form of a round fruit to look like fruit growing on the eitz chaim—the rod on which the Sefer Torah is rolled. Around each finial are 5 bells hanging from chains. See a similar item in the brochure “50 Finials” published by the University of Tel Aviv, pp 10-11. On both of the finials there is damage to 2 out of 5 chains. A tiny perforation in one of the towers. Good condition.
