Publication regarding a campaign to plant an orange orchard whose proceeds would benefit the Eitz Chaim institutions in Jerusalem. Jerusalem, Solomon Press [1930]. Very rare.
[8] pages, 14.5×12 cm. Folded paper. Yiddish and English title pages.
Plan to plant an orange orchard on 20 dunams. The proceeds from the venture were to benefit the Eitz Chaim institutions in Jerusalem. The first tree was purchased by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook and the second by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld. Includes letters from both of the rabbis and a lengthy letter with many details from the administrators of Etz Chaim, in Yiddish and English. Interesting plan, which may have never been implemented. Especially rare publication.
Two light cuts, without loss, to the title page. Fine-very fine condition.
