In the letter, the Rebbe writes that he intends to participate in the committee’s convention, talks about the importance of their work, and encourages those who help them.
Rebbe Baruch Hager (1895-1963), the “Makor Baruch,” son of Rabbi Yisrael, author of the Ahavat Yisrael. He was the first rabbi of Seret-Vizhnitz. He immigrated to Israel in 1947 and established a neighborhood for his chassidim in Haifa. He was a member of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah of Agudat Yisrael.
