Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Kalisher’s signature appears on the title page of the second part, “The small one, Tzhirsch [Tzvi Hirsch] Kalisher, Toruń, [Prussia].” Many notations in Hebrew and a foreign language on the flyleaves, some some of which ascribe this sefer to Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch: “Belongs to … Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch, known as Kalisher … a memento from me, his disciple, Chaim …” [Yiddish:] “This book belongs to Rabbi Kalisher” and more. The foreign-language inscriptions have not been examined. Pages 51a and 167a of Part II bear lengthy handwritten scholarly glosses, possibly by Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch; their content has not been examined. Many foreign-language inscriptions appear on the flyleaves of Part III; their content has also not been examined.
