Includes: The “E-l Melech” prayer; the thirteen attributes; a selichah that opens with the words “Tov Hashem LaKol”; an additional selichah that begins “V’Atah Kadosh”; and Seder Tashlich per the Ar”i z”l.
Machzorim for the yamim nora’im contain many piyyutim with the note “Some communities skip this.” And indeed, most communities skip them, as they do not have the custom to recite them – except for communities in Germany – the “Yekkim, ” where they would carefully recite the entire text of the machzor from beginning to end, with no shortcuts. In some of the communities, the gabbai would add to these, and distribute additional leaves among the congregants, somewhat like this leaf, with more prayers that were not even printed in the machzorim …
