Siach Sarfei Kodesh [Conversations of Angels] Lengthy letter [over 160 words!] handwritten and signed by the gadol hador Rabbeinu Chaim Kanievsky, to the current rosh yeshivah of Slobodka, Rabbi Dov Landau. 29 Tevet, 1961. Rabbi Chaim’s signature appears twice on the letter, at the end of the letter and in the sender’s details. To the best of our examination, this letter has never been printed! The letter opens with Rabbi Chaim saying that he has to look further into the matter and respond with due consideration. “But I see that I can’t look into it now, so I will not delay, and will respond with my initial thoughts.” In his renowned humility, the gaon Rabbi Chaim adds at the end of the letter, “[Your] honor should examine the matter; I await [your] reply.” This letter was written when both the writer and the addressee were young scholars, albeit from distinguished families, but the public did not overstate their worth. Today, over [60] years later, both are considered leaders of the Chareidi public! Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the gaon Rabbi Shmaryahu Yosef Chaim Kanievsky . [1] postcard 14.5×9.5 cm. Entirely handwritten and (twice) signed by the gaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky. Very fine condition. Light stains. Postmarks.
