Advertisement announcing a new machzor, published by printers Hertz HaLevi Rofeh, his son-in-law Cashman and their partner, Moshe Schreiber. The machzor was published in Amsterdam in 1750, so it can be deduced that this ad was published just prior. The announcement tells of the publication of the machzor using Ashkenazic text and customs, with a Yiddish translation, and ” kavanat hapaytan.”
The machzor was published ” with the knowledge of our master, the great gaon, the Av Beit Din and leader of our community.”
