Rabbi Pesach of Kobrin, one of foremost Roshei Yeshiva in Lithuania in the pre-Holocaust generation. Taught Torah in Slutsk, Shklov and in the last 17 years of his life, in his birthplace of Kobrin. In his youth he studied under the Chofetz Chaim, from where he moved to Slabodka and was one of the first 14 students sent by the “Alter” to establish the yeshiva in Slutsk. After his marriage he became close to Rabbi Chaim of Brisk who was very fond of him. His explanations were legendary and his lectures became known throughout Lithuania. In 1939 he became ill about two months after the outbreak of World War Two. His heart stopped on 11 Cheshvan 1939. His teachings were printed in the book Shiurei Rabbi Pesach Pruskin M’Kobri n.
