Semicha letter by Rabbi Yehuda Assad to Rabbi Aharon Bichler, who later became his son-in-law, and the rabbi of Jászberény. Serdahely 1858.
In the Semicha Letter, the Mahar”i Assad greatly praises his young disciple. Among others he writes that this is only some of his praise which he is saying to him. The Mahar”i Assad determines that from the day he marries and onward he will be called for anything sacred by the name ”
Moreinu ” (our teacher) (emphasis in the origin) Rav Rabbi Ahron.
The Semicha letter was given in Nissan 1858. Known is a letter written by Rabbi Yehuda Assad in Av 1859 to Rabbi David Bichler, Rabbi Aharon’s father, about the Shiduch between his daughter and his disciple. The wedding of Rabbi Aharon Bichler and Mrs. Serl, Rabbi Yehuda Assad’s daughter, was held on Rosh Chodesh Tamuz 1860.
