Rabbi Eliyahu HaKohen HaItamri of Izmir was the son of Rabbi Shlomo HaItamri. He was a prominent Izmir sage. He passed away in 1728. This is the first of his works to be printed. He also authored Midrash Talpiot, Me’il Tzedaka, Midrash Eliyahu and others.
