Pleasant Yemenite writing of the Shulchan Aruch, according to the edition of the Shulchan Aruch which was printed in Venice in 1598, without the Rama’s comments, which were not accepted in Yemen. The writing is in two columns, the titles of the simanim are in large letters, and with titles on the top of the pages. The writer even copied out the title page, the author’s introduction, and even the publisher’s introduction from the year 1598.
At the end of Orach Chaim, colophon: The Tur Orach Chaim was completed with the help of Heaven…Friday 5 Adar II 5453 [March 13, 1693].
Ancient and worn Yemenite leather binding. The title page, first three leaves and the last leaf were professionally restored with slight damage to text. Stains. A few worming holes. Fine condition.
